Another big change on the way is coming in the form of 5G internet connection – even where WiFi is available, you may be able to get faster speeds and more reliable connections through 5G so ensuring your device is 5G capable will certainly futureproof your setup.
Your laptop – If you’re going to be moving around a lot, something lightweight and easily accessible is your best bet rather than something big or clunky. Fortunately, many newer devices come packed with solid performance specs without needing something too bulky, but the same remains true as your mobile device – choosing something fit for purpose is essential if you’re going to be doing all of your work on the road, and so choosing something that may be a little better than what you need may be the best course of action.
Portable charging – Power banks have become increasingly popular over the past few years as a great way to stay as portable as possible without relying on outlets being available, but many are also getting much smarter with higher capacity and many more features – this should certainly be on your list of must-use hardware and with prices dropping you can afford to get something a bit bigger and a bit more robust to ensure lack of power will never be a factor keeping you indoors whilst exploring your remote working options.
